• About Samaritan Fellowship

Since 1958, the Samaritan Fellowship, a nonprofit ministry, has strived to carry out the Lord’s admonition to help our neighbor. Our purpose is to help those who have exhausted every available means for providing adequate shelter, utilities, medical care, fuel, vehicle repair, short-term shelter, food, clothing, and other emergency services. We serve families living in the Carlisle Area School District, South Middleton School District, and Middlesex Township.

The Samaritan Fellowship, a nonprofit charitable organization, started in 1958 as a committee at Allison United Methodist Church. It became a community organization in 1962 when the United Church of Christ joined with Allison in the Samaritan Fellowship program. Other churches soon followed and nonprofit incorporation for the Fellowship was completed in 1963. The Fellowship met from the beginning, with very little exception, at Allison Church every Saturday morning throughout the year until June, 2013 when the Fellowship moved to Carlisle United Methodist Church.
