• About Samaritan Fellowship

Since 1958,  Samaritan Fellowship, a Carlisle nonprofit ministry, has strived to carry out the Lord’s admonition to help our neighbor. Our purpose is to help those who have exhausted every available means for providing adequate shelter, utilities, medical care, fuel, vehicle repair, short-term shelter, food, clothing, and other emergency services. We serve families living in the Carlisle Area School District, South Middleton School District, and Middlesex Township.

Our work is both meaningful and challenging. Most volunteer stewards support Samaritan Fellowship clients on Saturday mornings, as their schedules allow, between 8:00–11:00 a.m. During these hours, stewards meet with individuals and families, review their assistance requests, and present their recommendations to the Board of Stewards. For each case, you will partner with another volunteer to understand the client’s situation, evaluate possible actions for Samaritan Fellowship, and identify additional community resources that may help.

We also have non-Saturday volunteer opportunities in data entry and bookkeeping for those who prefer to assist behind the scenes.

If you would like more information, please email your name and contact details to samaritanfellowship@hotmail.com. A member of our team will reach out to you. Thank you!
