Since 1958, Samaritan Fellowship, a Carlisle nonprofit ministry, has strived to carry out the Lord’s admonition to help our neighbor. Our purpose is to help those who have exhausted every available means for providing adequate shelter, utilities, medical care, fuel, vehicle repair, short-term shelter, food, clothing, and other emergency services. We serve families living in the Carlisle Area School District, South Middleton School District, and Middlesex Township.
On Saturday, September 12th, 15 clients were interviewed by Samaritan Fellowship stewards and Board members at the Carlisle United Methodist Church. The presented needs were 2 for rent, 4 for car related expenses, 1 for shelter, 1 for eyeglasses, 2 for storage, and 4 for utilities. $4,351 was expended to assist clients.
