• About Samaritan Fellowship

    Since 1958, the Samaritan Fellowship, a nonprofit ministry, has strived to carry out the Lord’s admonition to help our neighbor. Our purpose is to help those who have exhausted every available means for providing adequate shelter, utilities, medical care, fuel, vehicle repair, short-term shelter, food, clothing, and other emergency services. We serve families living in the Carlisle Area School District, South Middleton School District, and Middlesex Township.

June 18th meeting

On Saturday, June 18th, 24 clients appeared at Samaritan Feloowship for assistance.  2 for car payment, 2 for car repair, 1 for drivers license, 5 for electric, 1 for food, 2 for furniture, 2 for lot rent, 1 for phone, 5 for rent, 1 for security deposit, 2 for utility gas, and 1 for water.   $3,158.02 was expended on behalf of clients and 2 were provided furniture.  6 clients were referred to other agencies.      18 Board members were in attendance and 1 new member was added to the Board.

June 11th meeting

On Saturday, June 11th, 26 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  1 for bus ticket, 5 for car repair, 3 for electric, 3 for furniture, 3 for utility gas, 1 for gasolene, 1 for phone, 10 for rent, 5 for security deposit, 1 for storage, and 1 for water.  A total of $5,373.16 was expended on behalf of clients and 3 were provided with furniture.  6 clients were referred to other agencies.  16 Board Members and 1 guest were in attendance to assist clients.

June 4th meeting

On Saturday, June 4th, 23 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  1 for bus ticket, 1 for car repair, 1 for electric, 4 for furniture, 1 for mortgage payment, 2 for phone, 11 for rent, 2 for security deposit, and 2 for storage fees.  $2,638.17 was expended to help clients and 3 were provided furniture.  6 clients were referred to other agencies.  21 board members were in attendance to assist clients.

May 28th meeting

On Saturday, May 28th, 17 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  1 for bus ticket, 1 for car payment, 2 for electric, 4 for furniture, 3 for gasolene, 7 for rent, 2 for security deposit, and 1 for water bill.  $3,521.63 was expended to help clients and four were provided items of furniture.  2 clients were referred to other agencies.  14 Board Members and 1 guest were present to assist clients.

May 21st meeting

On Saturday, May 21st, 23 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  1 for a bicycle, 1 for bus ticket,  3 for car insurance, 1 for car payment, 3 for electric, 3 for furniture, 1 for gasolene, 3 for gas utility, 2 for lot rent, 1 for phone bill, 6 for rent, 3 for security deposit, and 1 for water.  $3,821.61 was expended to assist clients and 2 were provided furniture.  3 clients were referred to other agencies.  14 board members were in attendance to meet with clients.

May 14th meeting

26 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship this morning.  3 for bicycles, 1 for bus ticket, 1 for car repair, 3 for electric, 1 for fuel oil, 1 for furniture, 4 for gas, 1 for insurance, 1 for lot rent, 1 for P.O.Box rental, 1 for phone, 3 for rent, 1 for shelter, 4 for security deposit, 1 for storage fee, and 1 for water.  1 client was provided furniture, 3 clients were given bicycles, and $2,696.06 in cash was expended.  5 clients were referred to other agencies.  18 Board Members were in attendance to assist clients.

May 7th meeting

On Saturday, May 7th 13 families or individuals appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  1 for electric, 3 for furniture, 1 for lot rent, 4 for rent, 2 for security deposit, and 2 for utility gas.  $3,098.03 was used to assist clients and furniture was provided to 2.  2 clients were referred to other agencies.  18 Board members were present to assist clients.

April 30th meeting

On Saturday, April 30th 15 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  2 for car payment, 1 for car repair, 2 for electric, 1 for furniture, 1 for gas utility, 2 for lot rent, 1 for mortgage payment, 1 for phone, 5 for rent, and 3 for Security Deposit.  $4,465.00 was expended to aid clients and 1 was provided furniture.  8 clients were referred to other agencies.  18 Board Members were in attendance to assist clients

A wonderful thank you

In November, 2009 we helped a young couple with Cobra insurance and an electric bill for a total of $500.45 when the husbands income shrank because of surgery and the necessary change in job his physical condition mandated.  In April, 2011 we received a donation from them with the following note “You helped my husband and I when we lived in Carlisle and were desperate and I have been waiting for the day I could start to show my appreciation.”

April 23rd meeting

On Saturday, April 23rd, 21 clients appeared at Samaritan Fellowship for assistance.  1 for car repairs, 6 for electric, 1 for food, 1 for furniture, 3 for gasolene, 1 for ID fee, 1 for legal aid, 2 for lot rent, 6 for rent, 1 for security deposit, and 1 for water.  $4,604.63 was expended to aid clients and furniture was provided to 1 client.  6 clients were referred to other agencies.  20 Board members of Samaritan Fellowship were in attendance to assist clients.
